Equipment for high quality tracking results
Overcoming the problems associate with high speed, high resolution imaging of live cells requires not only the optimum method for the given sample, but also having the right equipment to accomplish it. Agilent can supply an imaging system that can meet these challenges. For high speed, single wavelength imaging the patented Agilent Polychrome 5000provides an extremely stable, narrow (FHWM 15 nm), and bright source of excitation light. Digital signal processor (DSP, independent of computer workstation) control of the entire acquisition process ensures that exposure of the CCD camera is precisely controlled to match sample illumination no matter how fast you need to image. A change of wavelength can be achieved within 3 ms from a spectral range between 320 and 680 nm. Thus, fluorophores are excited efficiently with a minimum of photobleaching. The low noise, high quantum efficiency Imago QE CCD camera ensures high resolution and good signal to noise ratios − both essential prerequisites for ensuring accurate mapping of object trajectories by tracking software algorithms. Finally, such a flexible, all−round hardware package is combined with the TILLvisION software and the sophisticated TILLvisTRAC module described above.
