Sales person for German and surrounding countries for Agilent’s nanoscale measurement products division Position Summary: Seeking a success-oriented Sales person to support Agilent’s growing microscopy sales effort. This is a customer-facing technical sales and sales management position. Background: Agilent Technologies recently acquired Molecular Imaging Corp. a maker of Scanning Probe Microscopes (SPM), Atomic Force Microscopes (AFM) and Till Photonics a maker of specialist Optical and confocal microscopes for the biological markets To expand our business in Europe, we are looking for a proven performer to fill a sales position based in Germany As Sales person you are working in a dynamic team that is focused on selling our products, solutions and services through our distributors to end-user customers in an assigned territory. You do this by skillfully developing and improving our existing distributor relationships while being on the outlook for new opportunities. As experienced Account Manager you know how to introduce our value proposition and together with the Product Specialists you are able to beat our competitors based on your technical skills, the superior quality of our products and our world class customer support. As well you should be able to work with marketing to investigate SPM/AFM, optical microscopy- or other nanotechnology measurement markets Part of your strength is to really understand our customers, their challenges and bring creative solutions to help them develop their businesses, products and markets. The word “no” does not figure in your dictionary and you do not stop until you have closed the deal. Together with the European Sales Manager and the rest of the German sales team you develop strong plans that can create new business opportunities. Although working as a team, you will be ultimately responsible for direct in sales into part of Germany and managing sales through third party distributors in some other European countries. |

| Qualifications : |
Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of the SPM/AFM and/or other microscopy/instrumentation markets in Germany and surrounding countries · Understand the SPM/AFM and/or optical microscopy business in Germany and neighbouring countries · Educated to a least degree level, but preferably with a post-graduate qualification in science, with preference being given to biological sciences, experience of FRET, FRAP or other biological/confocal imaging would be preferred, and additional AFM experience would be a bonus. · At least 2 years experience in field selling, preferable in research like with universities and laboratories. With proven closing experience · Record of third party management and achieving sales quota at a country level · Demonstrate customer-first and sales result focus orientation · Good communication and relationship building skills Track record of working in a team with other sales people and applications specialists Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills |
