Application examples

• Measurement of intracellular ion concentration (calcium, magnesium, potassium, pH etc.) with ratiometric dyes (fura-2, furaptra, BCECF etc.) or single wavelength dyes (calcium green, fluo-3 etc.). Read more about Ca²⁺-Imaging here.
• Measurement/obseration of processes (e.g. vesicel fusion) with fluorescent dyes near the cell membranes using the TIRF technology.
• Combined measurement of, for example, calcium and GFP.
• Multi-Color imaging of different fluorescent proteins (e.g. CFP/YFP double labeled cells).
• Software extensions for tracking, FRET and deconvolution are also available.
