Laser Line Combiner
The Laser Line Combiner merges the beams of up to three individual laser-heads employing precisely adjustable beam-box assemblies. Thus up to 8 laser-lines may be fed into an acusto-optic tunable filter (AOTF), where they can be gated and attenuated individually.
After passing the AOTF the laser light is coupled into a polarization preserving monomode fiber. It accommodates wavelengths between 400 nm and 700 nm. When an AOTF with a limited spectral range from 450 nm - 700 nm is used, the AOTF may be by-passed by employing another beam-box unit, allowing coupling (usually short wavelength) laser light directly into the fiber.
An additional mechanical shutter that can be triggerd by TTL signals is added for laser safety reasons.
