Laser Line Combiner

TILL's Laser Line Combiner is an easy solution for a common demand in fluorescence microscopy: The combination of different laser lines in the same experiment. This allows the detection of multiple dye combinations using laser-based methods such as TIRF, FRAP, photoactivation and uncaging.

The Laser Line Combiner combines the beams of up to four individual lasers by feeding them into a single fiber. An accusto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) allows to control gating and attenuating of every single laser either manually or via software.

Polyline

After passing the AOTF the light from the lasers is coupled into a monomode fi ber. This fiber accommodates wavelengths from 400 to 650 nm and maintains the lasers’ original polarization.

An additional mechanical shutter that can be triggerd by TTL signals is added for laser safety reasons.
